  1. What are Little Fox Readers?

    Little Fox Readers (LF Readers) are highly engaging, animated stories written just for children. Students will be able to quickly build vocabulary and fluency in a natural and authentic way. Each LF Reader comes with its own printable book, audiobook, and quiz. There are 9 levels for LF Readers. To see the correlation chart for the levels of other reading programs, click here.

  2. How often do you update the content?

    We update our website with new content, such as a LF Reader, song, or game, every day from Monday to Friday. The only exceptions are for New Year's Day and Christmas.

  3. Do you offer a free trial?

    No, we do not offer a free trial. But we provide over 200 free samples of our content. Click here to try free samples of LF Readers, songs, and games without a subscription.

  4. What grades are appropriate for Little Fox? What is the right level for my child?

    The LF Readers, songs, and games are appropriate for students in kindergarten to the 6th grade. The best way to find the right level for a student is to have him or her try a LF Reader and take the quiz. At the right level, he or she will be able to answer at least 70% of the questions correctly.

  5. What is the difference between a parent user and a child user?

    The subscription for a membership account can only be purchased by an adult. The parent user is the main account holder and can add up to three additional child users to the membership account. Each child user will be able to have his or her own account under the main ID and password of the parent by creating a unique nickname. Each child user can track his or her progress through the Bookshelf and Learning Log.

  6. How many children can use the membership? How can I add a child user under my account?

    The membership account can be used by a family with up to three children. Follow the instructions in the My Account page to add a child user to your account.

  7. Are my children restricted to a certain level?

    No, Little Fox does not limit children to one level. A membership account gives users access to all the available levels.

  8. Can my children use the website at the same time?

    No, only one user under the membership account can use the website at a time. Two separate subscriptions are needed for two children to use the website at the same time.

  9. Can I change my child's user nickname or delete a child user?

    Yes, you can change your child's user nickname or delete a child user from your membership account at any time on the My Account page. You can still keep all of the information under his or her account even after changing the nickname. However, everything will be completely erased if you choose to delete a child user from your account.

    Yes, you can access Little Fox on mobile devices. You can download the free Little Fox app by searching for "Little Fox" at Apple's App store or Google Play, or by scanning the QR code below. For more information, click here.

    You can use the Little Fox app on the devices listed below. More devices will be added as they become available.

  12. Can I use my Little Fox subscription on multiple devices? Can I also use my Little Fox subscription
    for the website for the app?

    Yes, you can use your Little Fox subscription for the app as well as access it on different devices. However, only one user can use Little Fox at one time on one device.

  13. Can I use my app subscription to have complete access to the Little Fox website?

    No, you cannot use the app subscription for the Little Fox website. In order to have complete access to the Little Fox website, you must purchase a subscription specially for the website. A subscription for the website will also give you complete access to the app.

  14. How much does a Little Fox subscription cost?

    There is a monthly subscription available for $20. There is a yearly subscription that can be purchased at a discounted rate of $150.

  15. What types of payment do you accept?

    You can purchase a subscription to a Little Fox membership account through credit card or PayPal. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

  16. How do I renew my subscription?

    Your subscription will be automatically renewed. Your credit card will be automatically billed on either every one-month anniversary of the first billing date for monthly subscriptions or on every one-year anniversary of the first billing date for annual subscriptions. If you do not want to renew your subscription, you must cancel before the end of the billing cycle to avoid any unwanted payment.

  17. How can I update my credit card information?

    You can change your credit card or update your current credit card information at any time through the My Account page of the parent user.

  18. How do I cancel my subscription?

    If you wish to cancel your subscription, please follow the instructions in the My Account page of the parent user. There is a Payment Information link in the My Account page where you can find a link to cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription before it renews to avoid any unwanted payments. It may take up to five business days to process your request for cancellation. You will continue to have access to your membership account until the current billing period ends.

  19. Can I get a refund?

    Unfortunately, we do not offer a refund or credit for any partially used membership periods.

  20. Can I switch my subscription from a monthly payment to a yearly payment?

    Yes, you can switch to a yearly subscription from a monthly subscription. However we cannot apply the payment from your monthly subscription to the yearly subscription. If you choose to switch to a yearly subscription, the changes will take place at the end of the month. This way you will not lose any of the time you have already paid for.

    The easiest way to switch to a yearly subscription is to go the My Account page of the parent user, go to Payment Information, and then Update Billing Information. There will be a place to switch your subscription plan.

  21. I don't live in the U.S. Can I still purchase a subscription for membership?

    Of course! Little Fox is not limited to users in the U.S. You can sign up directly on our website and make a payment with your credit card. Our prices are shown in U.S. dollars, so your credit card company will convert the funds to your local currency based on the current exchange rates at that time.

  22. Can I use Mac OS 9 or Windows 95 with Little Fox?

    No, Little Fox is not compatible with Mac OS 9 or Windows 95. Unfortunately, Adobe, which developed the Flash program we use for our animations, has stopped upgrades for the older operating systems.

  23. I have the Flash player installed and have cleared the cache, but I still can't watch the animations.
    What else can I do?

    If you continue to experience problems after updating the plug-in and emptying your cache, we recommend that you re-install Flash, making sure to follow these simple steps before doing so.

    1. Go to Adobe Flash Support and download the appropriate uninstaller for your operating system. When this is finished downloading, run the uninstaller and let it complete the process.
    2. Visit the Adobe Flash Player page and download the most recent version.

    If you are using a Macintosh (except OS 9 or below) and are still having problems, we suggest allocating more RAM to your browser. To do this:
    1. Quit the browser.
    2. Select the application's icon in the Finder.
    3. Select Get Info from the File Menu.
    4. Under Memory, increase the Preferred Size to at least 25,000 KB. If your computer has enough RAM, select a bigger size. (You can see how much free RAM is available by selecting About This Computer from the Apple Menu while the Finder is in use.)
    5. Re-launch the web browser application.

  24. What kind of browser works best with Little Fox?

    Mac Users

    1. We recommend that you use the most updated version of Safari. You can go to Software Update under the Apple menu to ensure that you are using the most recent version.
      Mac users may also use Little Fox with Firefox or Internet Explorer. However Mac users should check to make sure your computer has the latest version of Internet Explorer since Microsoft no longer offers downloadable updates.

    Windows Users
    1. We recommend that you use the most updated version of Internet Explorer. You can go to Windows Update under the Tools menu to ensure that you are using the most recent version.

    1. If you use one of the many other browsers available, such as Opera, Camino, or Chrome, and encounter any problems using Little Fox, please let us know so that we can attempt to fix theses issues. Regardless of which browser you use, you will need to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

  26. What are points and how can I earn them?

    You can earn points by completing a LF Reader in Movie or Page by Page mode. One to ten points are earned, depending upon the length of the LF Reader.

  27. I completed a LF Reader. But I'm not earning points. Why not?

    You do not earn points in the following cases:

    1. When you read a LF Reader in Autoplay mode.
    2. When you read a LF Reader in Repeat mode. (only the first time counts).
    3. When you skip part of the LF Reader.
